In July of 2008, Taylor and Stacy auditioned for AMTC (Actors, Models, and Talent Competition- www.amtcworld.com) AMTC is a company designed to showcase new talent for top agents, managers, and casting directors. As you may have already guessed, we both made it passed the audition (Taylor for acting, Stacy for acting, singing, and modeling) and we have been invited to attend the AMTC Summer 2009 Convention. This could be a HUGE career move for both of us and is something we believe in and feel called to do. Since August, we’ve been rehearsing regularly with AMTC coaches who have been successful in their own performing arts careers. When it comes time for the convention this July, we will have the opportunity to perform with about 800 other contestants in from of 50-100 agents. We will also have the opportunity to meet with the industry professionals face to face.
However, this convention is not free. The cost per person is $3,595 plus travel, hotel, and other miscellaneous expenses. Included in the cost is three competitions we can enter. It is $75 for every competition we enter beyond those three. The more we enter, the more we are in front of the agents, and the better chance we have. We would both like to enter 7 total. “Everything always costs more,” as they say, so we have set a goal of $10,000. And this is where you come in. So far, we have raised $4,785. Below (and here) you’ll find a link to our paypal account. All we ask is that you donate $2. And of course, if you’d like to help out more, we’re not going to stop you. Any individual or company that sponsors us for $100 or more gets their name in the official AMTC program book which is given to every attendee at the convention.
BUT we don’t want you to just give without doing any research yourself. We’ve already done our homework and learned all we can about AMTC, so now it’s your turn. Search through their website and make sure you know what you’re giving your money for. If you have any questions about it, please ask us!
